Texas Clay, Cement and Diamonds

Hard.
Really hard.
Waiting.
Hard like planting geraniums in drought plagued Texas clay.
No, harder.
Hard like breaking up an old cracked cement patio to haul away.
No, harder still.
Hard like diamonds.  Hard to harvest, hard to work with but once crafted into a setting it provides a beauty that will last for generations.
So I wait.
And wait.  Knowing it will be truly beautiful when my little precious gem is in my arms.
